Good Afternoon CLA Family!

Welcome to our first edition of the Mid-Week Memo! I'm excited to start this weekly tradition of keeping you updated on all things Carolina Lacrosse Association. We have some really exciting changes and new programs coming your way, and I can't wait to share them with you!

Introducing Our New Sub-Divisions!

To better serve our lacrosse community and provide more targeted programming, we are restructuring Carolina Lacrosse Association into three sub-divisions:

  • CLA North: Boys' programming focused on the areas north of Charlotte, including Huntersville, Denver, Lake Norman, and Mooresville.

  • CLA South: Boys' programming serving Charlotte, Matthews, and the York County area of South Carolina. Home of Team Carolina Boys.

  • CLA Girls: Girls' programming available throughout the Carolinas. Home of Charlotte Style Girls.

Each division will offer teams, training, and events tailored to help our athletes develop their skills and passion for the game.

Spotlight on Our Rising Stars!

We’re proud of the recognition our Team Carolina Boys and Charlotte Style Girls in the Class of 2026 have received from college programs since the recruiting window opened on September 1st. Congratulations to Alex Gregoloff (2026 FOGO / Hough HS) for earning a 4-star rating and Henry Urban (2026 Midfielder / Ardrey Kell HS) for earning a 3-star rating from Inside Lacrosse!

Our leadership team, recruiting directors, and nearly 20 current/former college coaches on staff — are dedicated to guiding our athletes through the recruiting process and helping them achieve their dreams.

Southern Stars Tryouts Recap:

We recently hosted our Southern Stars tryouts, welcoming over 100 talented girls from across the Carolinas to battle for spot. Invited athletes will participate in a Team Camp and travel to compete at the National Cup in Florida this winter. It's amazing to see so much talent from the South coming together. You can learn more about the Southern Stars here.

Fall Season Kickoff!

Our fall season kicks off next week with Team Carolina and Charlotte Style! Nearly 30 teams will participate in virtual mental performance training on Mondays, followed by training sessions on weeknights and team practices on weekends. We are ready to hit the ground running and see our athletes back in action!
